On 29 April 2010, the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) adopted a Resolution on Discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation and gender identity. Still, many governments of the EU states do not promote their anti-discrimination laws and protection that they have to provide. Discrimination towards LGBTQ population continues.
